An online marketplace, Efritin, on Monday said over 2,000 transactions had been completed and delivered to users across Nigeria through its Buy Now service.
According to the company, Buy Now is a service on Efritin that enables quick, safe, easy and free delivery of items bought on the site within 24 hours.
The Efritin team said Buy Now was a reinforcement of the firm’s commitment to creating sustainable value for users and their communities.
“The service is expected to ease the inconvenience and hassles often associated with marketplace activities – online or offline – while also addressing the concerns around safety and increasing trust.
“As a third party in the transaction, Efritin bears the risk around safety and takes on the stress associated with marketplaces- online and offline – on behalf of the buyer,” the firm said in a statement.
It added, “In effect, buyers can buy any item no matter their location from the variety of ads listed on the site and it will be delivered on their doorstep within 24 hours. To activate the process, all that is required is that they click on the ‘Buy Now’ button on the ad.”
According to experts, services like ‘Buy Now’ show the latent potential the classified segment of the e-commerce industry in Nigeria has.
